Connecticut · October 2026

Connecticut cannabis operators: everything changed October 1.

A flat 10.75% retail excise replaced the potency-tiered tax. A new 14-day medical-priority quarantine now applies to concentrates, topicals, tablets, rosin, and sublingual products. Delivery can only run through licensed Delivery Services, with one exception for Hybrid Retailers delivering to medical patients. Financing between establishments picked up new limits.

If your stack was not built to roll with this, you are reconciling by hand. SellStack handles all seven Connecticut realities natively, from one ledger.

The reset

What changed October 1, 2026 for CT cannabis operators.

Public Act 26-8 reset the economics and the rules of Connecticut cannabis in one day. Three weeks on, operators are still catching up. Four changes carry the most operational weight.

Out of the box

Seven Connecticut realities SellStack handles natively.

One ledger, not a stack of stitched-together systems. Each links to the detail on the next page.

01 Dual tax reconciliation

The 10.75% flat retail excise and legacy potency-tier records, handled on both sides of October 1 without manual journal entries.

02 Hybrid dual-channel routing

Medical-channel inventory stays medical; adult-use stays adult-use. No accidental crossover between the two.

03 BioTrack-CT reconciliation

Connecticut runs on BioTrack, not Metrc. Native BioTrack-CT reconciliation from the ledger, not a stitched export.

04 Parallel B2B and DTC

Wholesale to other licensees, retail pickup, delivery through a licensed Delivery Service, and Hybrid medical own-employee delivery where approved. One system.

05 14-day quarantine logic

Concentrates, topicals, tablets, rosin, and sublinguals quarantine on receipt; release gated by date and by medical-versus-adult-use channel.

06 Social equity tagging

Operator records carry the social equity classification, and reporting and revenue allocation carry it through.

What SellStack does not do

The honest line.

SellStack ships the commerce and records layer. It does not stand in for the parts of compliance that live in your building and your team:

  • Facility design, HVAC validation, and environmental controls
  • Personnel training records and standard operating procedures
  • Your relationship with the Department of Consumer Protection and the Social Equity Council

SellStack does not replace BioTrack-CT either. It reconciles to it, so the lot-level record the state sees already matches the record you run your business on.

Built for operators, not pitch decks

One ledger for every Connecticut channel.

SellStack is the cannabis commerce engine for operators running real multi-channel, multi-entity operations: B2B wholesale, DTC retail, delivery, and medical patient portals, on one ledger with lot-level traceability and ERP integration.
